Former Hull rider Dennis Gavros came into the Sunderland line-up as "Mr.Fix It"...
Well he didn't!!
Brought in as a heat leader, he didn't "cut the mustard". He kicked off well enough with
12pts v Teesside in a KO cup match on the 12th April, followed by 11pts v Berwick in a
challenge match a week later. After that it was down hill all the way, 6pts was his best score
in a league match, with three ducks and a single point included in the rest of his 9
league/cup appearances you can see why he didn't fix it for the team. By early June he
was gone, for an average of 5.00.
