Stars in My Eyes
A Pocket History of Sunderland Speedway
My first book, in which I try to tell the story of speedway at the Boldon track, it includes rider
profiles as well as facts and figures, averages etc. The photos take you back in time!

Crazy Jack
The Story of Jack Millen
This book tells the story of one of speedway's most colourful characters, known as "Millen the Villain", "Mad Jack", and of course "Crazy Jack". They were all names used to describe the controversial Robert Jack Millen. Showman supreme, and controversial hard man, the likes of which we may never see again. The pictures remind us of what we missed.

Millen
Both Sides of the Track
My third book, this is a follow-up to "Crazy Jack". Such was the feedback and interest after "Crazy Jack", I just had to do a follow up. This latest effort tells some amazing stories, many from the people who knew him well - ex-riders and people with whom Jack and his family stayed whilst he rode in this country. The tales will make you gasp, make you laugh, and some will make you cry, but all are true - I am assured of that!

Memories of North East Speedway
*** Now Available - Only £4.00 ***
This book is larger than the previous ones. It tells my memories of Speedway around the tracks in the North East, Berwick, Newcastle, Sunderland, Teesside, Ashington, and even a tale or two from Workington - they all did after all compete in the Four Team events when the Diamonds were closed, 1971-4.

When you look back over the years, we really did see a lot very good riders who rode in the North East, including World Champions Ivan Mauger, Ole Olsen, Anders Michanek and Gary Havelock. On top of that there was a string of riders who rode in the World Finals, which in itself is quite an achievement. Read what I think of the supporters from around the various tracks.
